This is my life now.

I would like to take a moment to clarify my previous post.  My bitchy best friend Kristy has just brought it to my attention that it’s bobbin; not a bobbit.

I think I’ve proved my point here that my sewing machine knowledge is limited.

As Sue would say on Glee, I’m further embarrassed.

That is all.

I spent the better part of the morning and early afternoon at my Grandma and Papa’s house.  I needed to use my Grandma’s sewing machine to finalize five Halloween costumes.  That’s right; five.

Tonight is the Player’s Club Halloween Party, and all of the girls will be matching.

Matching Oompa Loompas that is.  Our boss; ya he’s Willy.

Anyhoo.  So I show up this morning and my Grandma proceeds to help me with every part of the project.  It was like a freakin sweatshop up there.  And together, we completed all five costumes.  Thank God for her, because there were bobbitt problems, and unless we’re talking about Lorraine, I’m lost.  But we got it done.

Afterwards, Papa fixed us hazelnut coffee, eggs over easy, toast, and bacon. 

They told me about their plans for the rest of the day…which include online poker, soaps, and cocktails and hor d’oeuvres at three (with each other).  This is pretty much a standard daily routine.  How great is that?!

The point of this pointless post is that I love my grandparents.  It was wonderful to giggle with my Grandma as we tried to figure out how to make brown and white striped dickies for the collar part of the costume, and the brunch was so thoughtful (and delicious).

I just love them to pieces.  I’ve been a tad stressed lately, and sometimes taking time to sit and talk and relax and laugh and work with your hands is precisely what is needed.

I am grateful.
